Building Your Opt In MLM Lead List on Squidoo is Possible.  I'll Show You How.

When Squidoo disabled the use of iframes across the entire site last year it made a lot of folks very unhappy.  It made a lot of widgets and gizmos useless on Squidoo Lenses.  Much to the distress of many an internet marketer.

Now don't despair...

It's still possible to generate your own leads with Squidoo and build your opt in MLM lead list.  In fact some of the best MLM leads come from Squidoo.

Now instead of slipping a lead capture widget into a bold tag you need to link to a lead capture page hosted elsewhere.  But not just any old link will do.  You want to catch your readers eye and make them want to know more.  

In fact I believe the whole purpose of the lens should be to get your visitor to want more information from you.  They should be able to get more of your stuff by clicking on links leading them to more of your content OR subscribing to your newsletter.  Best of all they'll do BOTH.

Here's step by step how I build my opt in MLM lead list on Squidoo.

1. You need to create a lead capture page.  I'm a firm believer in never paying more than I have to for something so I use Oprius online contact manager to create and host my lead capture pages. (To play around with it's amazing fully functional online demo Visit Oprius here)
   
   No matter what company or product you use to create your lead capture page be sure it sends an opt in email and includes a Thank You page where you can "up-sell" another product or offer while your prospect is really liking you and in a "take action" mood.  And hosts the page for free.
   
   Once your page is created copy it's URL and save it in a file on your computer you'll be using it in the following step.
   
   
2. Place the link onto your Squidoo Lens.  The trick here is to make it look like an opt in MLM lead capture widget without being one.  What I suggest you do is use Squodoos "The Most Important Thing" module.  You'll have to keep it short but it's really eye catching and effective.  You can see an example of mine here at Network Marketing Information on Squidoo.
   
   To find and add this module to your Lens click on the "Add Modules" button at the top of your page (you must be logged in and editing the page to see the button).  Then on the far right click on the alphabetical listing of modules.  Once this opens click on the "T" and twards the bottom of this list you'll see "The Most Important Thing" click to add the module to your lens.
   
   (If you're totally new to Squidoo I recomend enrolling in Renegade University Professional and following along with the step-by-step video tutorials in the Squidoo section.  They will take you from registering at Squidoo all the way thru finishing your lens.  That's where I learned)
   
   If you don't know how to make a hyper link on Squidoo go to my Network Marketing Tools lens and click on the "basic html for Squidoo" link.
   
   
3. Place your Most Important Thing module in a prominent place on your lens.  Use that big orange box to break up the space on your lens.  It'll give your readers eye a break (making them willing to read more) and draw attention to what's inside which is really the whole point.
   

Add these modules to all of your Lenses.  You can link each one to the same opt in MLM lead capture page so there's no need to make more than one per topic you're collecting prospects for.

That's it... your done!  Oprius makes building your opt in MLM lead list on Squidoo (or anywhere else for that matter) a piece of cake.  So... play around with this a little and I'll bet you'll be getting your best MLM leads from Squidoo in no time.
