The Flip... Recommended by Renegade University
This is the camera recommended by Mike Klingler in the Renegade Professional area of Renegade University.
It's a great little camera, easy to use and inexpensive. It's an all in one solution to making videos to share online because the software is stored on the camera. This makes it very portable and great for traveling because you can simply plug it into any computer where ever you are and download your movies.
Another nice feature is there are no cables or wires. The USB "plug" simply "FLIPS" out of the side of the camera and plugs into your computer. Poof! connected.
One more thing that makes this camera desirable are the tutorials in Renegade Professional on how to use it. For the tech challenged among us... (myself included) all you have to do is follow along with Mike and he'll teach you step by step how to use this little beauty.
Web Cams... What I'm Using.
Here is a selection of webcams for you to inspect.
As you know (if you watched the intro video to Renegade TV you will anyway...LOL) I'm using an inexpensive webcam to make my videos at this time and it's working out rather well.
The advantage to using a web cam is it's already hooked into your computer and Windows Movie Maker recognizes it. This means all you have to do is open Movie Maker and click on the webcam icon to start recording. No importing or anything. Video making, editing and publishing is all handled in one place.
Also, you can use it as intended... video chatting. George Jetson here I come! LOL
The downside, of course, is that it's not portable and (depending on the camera you get) the quality isn't as good as with The Flip (or other) camera. So no videos out in the woods or at the beach. But depending on your budget and what you plan to use it for a web cam may be a good choice for you.
